This leash is cut from heavy vegetable-tanned bridle leather. The hides are tanned using natural tree barks and treated with tallow and waxes during finishing. This process yields leather that resists moisture, withstands hard pulling, and will not fray like nylon straps. We round and burnish the strap edges by hand so the leather does not bite into your palms. Solid brass hardware and solid copper rivets secure the ends, giving reliable physical retention during field walks and everyday training.
