How bridle leather breaks in over time
Firm Waxed Grip
Strap feels substantial with smooth wax-sealed edges.
Molded Hand Feel
Handle loop breaks in naturally to your specific grip.
Weathered Patina
Vegetable tanning darkens attractively through outdoor exposure.
How to maintain bridle leather
Snap clip onto dog collar ring and check that the spring gate closes firmly.
Wipe dirt and mud off the strap with a damp cloth, then hang by the handle.
Do not dry wet leather near stoves or radiators, which dry out natural oils.
Field-ready bridle leather leash
This leash is cut from heavy vegetable-tanned bridle leather. Bridle leather is hot-stuffed with natural waxes and tallows during tanning, making it weather-resistant, flexible, and comfortable to hold right out of the box without burning your palms when a dog pulls. Every strap is beveled along all four edges and burnished by hand with natural wax. The handle and bolt snap are secured with heavy-gauge solid rivets rather than thin nylon threads that fray over time. It holds up through rain, mud, and everyday outdoor training.

Working dog handler feedback
"Edges are smooth right out of the box. My 70-pound lab pulled hard toward a duck and this strap did not burn my hands at all."
