Hand poured soy candle
This candle is made of pure botanical soy wax. Soy wax melts at a lower temperature than paraffin, producing a calm flame and an even melt pool across the top of the glass. It burns clean without soot deposits on walls. Each vessel is poured by hand into a thick base glass container. The unbleached cotton wick is centered manually to make sure the candle burns straight to the bottom without leaving wax stuck to the sides.
- ✓ Botanical Soy Wax core
- ✓ Lead-free braided cotton wick
- ✓ Zero paraffin content
Evelyn Reed
Botanical soy wax gives the steadiest flame. It avoids the harsh black smoke common with standard paraffin blends.
Four elements of clean combustion
Wick ignition
Cotton fibers ignite and transmit heat downward to the solid wax.
Wax liquefaction
Soy wax melts steadily at moderate heat.
Capillary action
Liquid wax rises through braided cotton fibers into the flame.
Steady burn
Clean combustion produces light with minimal airborne residue.
Heavy cardboard casing
Enclosed in a fitted kraft cylinder that holds the glass tightly during transport. Delivered in heavy shipping cartons.
How to burn cleanly
Trim the cooled wick to remove any charred end before lighting.
Extinguish the flame with a snuffer to avoid blowing wax droplets.
Keep the candle away from drafty windows to prevent uneven wax pooling.
